    Ashley H. White

    Dallas, TX

    Ashley H. White is an award winning director, teaching artist, and fight director. She founded SCDallas in 2012, and acts as the group’s President. With over a decade of stage combat training, Ashley enjoys studying the physical form as it applies to all performances and specializes in movement and characterization. She works regularly as a director and fight director and loves breaking down martial reactions to see how they play differently when applied to different characters and situations. Ashley is a proud member of Intimacy Directors International and holds Advanced Actor Combatant status with the SAFD. Ashley is also an Artistic Director of Dallas-based IMPRINT theatreworks.   • Carlo J. Aceytuno

    Carlo J. Aceytuno

    Dallas, TX

    Carlo is a local fight director and action choreographer originally from Los Angeles, CA. He has studied both Martial Arts and Stage Combat for 20 years. Part fight stud, part video game/comic book loving nerd, and father of three, Carlo is a founding member of SCDallas, LLC. Carlo has been recognized by the Society of American Fight Directors (SAFD) as an Advanced Actor Combatant, proficient in Theatrical Firearms Safety, is pursuing Intimacy Education Specialization with Intimacy Directors International (IDI), and enjoys teaching sword fighting, whip cracking, and many other theatrical combat styles to all ages. His range of work, both performance and fight choreography, have been seen on The History Channel, the Hollywood Bowl, the House of Blues, Dallas Winspear Opera House, and many other venues in DFW. He regularly teaches open classes for adults and children in schools and at workshops.

  • Charlton "Skyhook" Gavitt

    Charlton "Skyhook" Gavitt

    Dallas, TX

    Charlton B. Gavitt (or Skyhook to his fight family) is a teacher and director in the theater cluster at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. Among his many duties, he is the resident Fight Choreographer and stage combat teacher. A graduate of Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, he has performed with Karamu Theater, Beck Center, Forth Worth Shakespeare Festival, Shakespeare Dallas, Dallas Children’s Theatre and Stage West, to name a few. Skyhook has attained Advanced Actor Combatant status with the Society of American Fight Directors. He also is a creator of custom made Nylon Bullwhips. Visit Charlton's website via the icon below.

  • Andrew Dylan Ray

    Andrew Dylan Ray

    Shreveport, LA

    Andrew is an actor and fight director who works from coast to coast. He is a certified stage combat instructor with the Society of American Fight Directors that holds a BA in Theatre from The University of Kentucky and an MA in Theatre from Louisiana Tech University where he studied performance and stage movement under SAFD Fight Master Mark D. Guinn. Andrew currently resides in Shreveport, Louisiana but spends a portion of the year in his hometown of Lexington, Kentucky where he serves as stage combat instructor at the University of Kentucky. On top of that he teaches stage combat in Louisiana, Texas, Georgia, Ohio, North Carolina, and Florida. He also spends time in Los Angeles, Chicago and New York working as a motion capture performer. He is one of the lead motion capture artists for the Saint’s Row and Agents of Mayhem video game franchises.

  • Brandon Sterrett

    Brandon Sterrett

    Austin, TX

    Brandon Sterrett is an Adjunct Associate Professor of Drama at Austin Community College and Director of the Acting Company at ZACH Theatre. He holds an M.F.A. in Theatre Pedagogy from Virginia Commonwealth University (the most highly recommended program of its kind in the US) and a B.F.A in Directing from Southern Methodist University. Brandon is also certified as a Highly Qualified Theater Teacher for Secondary School by the state of Texas. Brandon has taught theatre for almost 15 years, to ages ranging from 6 to 60. He taught primary school theatre for 10 years before he was hired full time at a private high school in Colleyville. After that, he taught movement and Acting at Virginia Commonwealth University, where his successes in the classroom lead to an invitation to teach for the business school. He is also a co-founder of Stage Combat Dallas where he served as Special Education Director. Brandon’s philosophy of teaching is that collaboration, specificity, and honesty in the classroom encourage the same in performance. Visit Brandon's website via the icon below.
